Northern Arizona University (NAU)

The 18-month program Doris Duke Conservation Scholars created many opportunities for me and allowed me to participate in mentored research activities in conservation biology and other disciplines relevant to land, water, and wildlife conservation. In addition to this, I was able to be part of a 20 student cohort with other undergraduates from across the country. There Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Programs alumni also consists at other universities such as -- The University of Washington, University of California Santa Cruz, University of Michigan and University of Florida.


We did outreach with local Navajo activists and learned about the impact of Black Mesa Mining Pipeline
We did field work for 8 weeks with Grand Canyon Trust and Rio Mora Preserve in AZ and NM
